Sesame-Crusted Sourdough is made with 12 grain flour, certified organic, freshly milled hard red wheat flour from 1847 Stone Milling, our Ancient Grain & Super Seeds blend for added nutrition, and organic white & black sesame seeds. (More information below.)
The loaf is coated in organic natural sesame seeds and organic black sesame seeds, which are also included in the dough mixture. The burst of sesame seeds throughout gives the loaf a lovely nutty flavour.

As with all of our sourdough breads, they're 100% true sourdough using our three year old sourdough starter, The Doughager Countess (named after Maggie Smith's character in Downton Abbey - Violet Crawley, The Dowager Countess of Grantham). -
Organic hard red spring wheat flour, organic whole grain spelt flour, organic whole grain rye flour, whole grain kamut, whole grain barley flour, whole grain buckwheat flour, whole grain oat flakes, ground brown flax seeds, white quinoa, amaranth seeds, hulled sunflower seeds, hulled millet, sesame seeds, sourdough starter (organic hard red spring wheat flour, water [filtered]), fine sea salt, water (filtered).
Organic white rice flour is used for non-stick purposes. -
